KHOU 11, a Belo owned station in Houston, Texas, is seeking a Photojournalist who will be responsible for providing complete and visual coverage of news events in a fair, unbiased and accurate manner. The selected candidate will photograph news events, both live and on tape, for news programs and edit stories on Non-linear or similar system to the fullest capability of the equipment. The selected candidate must have a valid Texas driver’s license; a minimum of five years of photojournalist experience preferred; a strong background in ENG (Electronic News Gathering) operations a plus; college degree preferred. The selected candidate will be responsible for reporting and writing stories for on-air and for our website; reporting live from the field and on tape; developing sources, contacts and enterprise stories.
In addition to having 3-5 years reporting experience, candidates must have exceptional communication skills and a proven track record in developing sources, breaking stories and producing high-quality, thoughtful reports about important local issues. College degree preferred.

Great Day Houston is seeking a Production Assistant to assist producers in daily pre-production and post production of daily live programs. The candidate will run the teleprompter during live shows, assist with audio, studio camera and moving props in and out during live shows. Responsibilities also include researching video clips, editing sequences on AVID, and preparing video play outs for broadcast, shoot video sequences using HD cam, and assist producers as needed. This position has flexible hours.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in television production and be proficient on AVID. Experience on HD Cam and After-Effects is a plus. KHOU 11, a Belo-owned CBS TV station in Houston, has an immediate need for a Productivity Specialist to join our Interactive Sales Team. Productivity Specialist will work with local clients to improve results with Cars.com in addition to other interactive products while retaining the current client base. This will include training of existing dealership employees and new personnel. The Productivity Specialist will also responsible for assisting Interactive sellers in producing and sharing monthly reports, coordinating monthly cars.com conference calls and actively answering dealer questions and issues with Cars.com functionality. A Bachelors degree is preferred, but not required. A working knowledge of the automotive industry will be extremely helpful in this position. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and relationship building skills are required as well. PC literacy is necessary including MS Office, Power Point and Outlook. Must have a valid driver’s license and be a safe driver.
