WEB PRODUCER
Work closely with National Sales and Editorial team to manage all production/quality aspects of Stations’ web sites. Conceptualize/produce high profile creative on-line material. Perform duties of on-line writer/producer, specializing in print style writing, copy editing and editorial gathering. Facilitate the editorial gathering of local web news, gleaning information from various sources and contacts and reproducing the above material into strong compelling web material. Applications include HTML, JSP, FLASH and Photoshop. Interface with Editorial managers and supervisors from the Broadcasting side of newsroom to create a cohesive working atmosphere, managing the delivery of content using new distribution platforms. Ensure Web sites are coded to standards consistent with web style guides set by National in-house team.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus 2-3 years of web production experience preferred. Expert knowledge of web production, traffic reporting and ad serving systems. Solid understanding of web standards, design and usability. Knowledge of common web and application architectures. Knowledge of print and broadcast newsroom standards and styles. Understanding of user on-line behavior. Highly skilled in all areas of a/v digitizing, editing and encoding techniques. Advanced knowledge of internet publishing software and content management systems. Position demands excellent print/web writing, web editing, interface design and web production skills. Handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously in a strict deadline-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under pressure as a cohesive member of a team. Knowledge of HTML, JSP, FLASH and Photoshop.

AM WEATHER ANCHOR
Create daily, accurate, creative weather presentations primarily for a 5.5 hr AM newscast block. Must be able to make multiple weathercasts different and interesting. Work with show producers for out of segment features. Work with weather team in scheduling and improving weather presentations. Help coordinate severe weather coverage. Present live weather segments from remote locations. Assist assignment desk in dispatching crews to weather related stories. Build and maintain weather related computer graphics. Make public appearances on behalf of station and other duties as assigned. Requires minimum 3 yrs experience as broadcast television weather forecaster. Meteorology degree and/or weather seals preferred. Must be able to work with WSI or comparable weather system. Must be able to work varied hours including holidays and weekends as needed. Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

WEEKEND SPORTS ANCHOR/REPORTER
Looking for energetic sports enthusiast to be the weekend sports anchor who will write, produce, edit, and present compelling sportscasts for the weekend broadcasts. Will also produce packages for weekdays and weekends. Will make public appearances and participate in community events. Prefer degree in Journalism or related field. Requires 2-3 yrs experience as sports reporter and/or anchor. Must have proven track record of community involvement. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

PHOTOGRAPHER
Shoot/Edit on P2 camera. Operate camera, lights, wireless mics, portable/permanent editing gear, microwave truck, Avstar newsroom software, cell phone, and 2-way. Willingly accept direction from assignment desk. Requires degree in Journalism or related field and 2 years paid broadcast news photography experience. Must have good eye and ability to tell a compelling story with the camera.

ASSIGNMENT EDITOR/SPECIAL PROJECTS COORDINATOR
Essential functions are to oversee assignment desk operations ensuring proper allocation of station resources (photogs, reporter, tech equip) to provide thorough and complete news coverage. Duties include: educating and leading the staff including daily story selection meetings and participating in daily newscast producer meetings to ensure programs are produced and executed on concept. Requires minimum 2 yrs of assignment desk and/or media producing or management experience. Need to be a thorough researcher with the ability to convey findings in a concise manner. Must be able to find and generate “big picture” story ideas for both breaking and long range planning. Should have ability to book guests and learn the court system and how to acquire filings. Must be able to work under pressure and make quick decisions with sound editorial judgment. Must have extensive knowledge of local, national, and international events. Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
