Photojounalist (Posted 1/14/11)
Belo owned, KHOU-TV, is seeking a Photojournalist who will be responsible for providing complete and visual coverage of news events in a fair, unbiased and accurate manner. The selected candidate will photograph news events, both live and on tape, for news programs and edit stories on Non-linear or similar system to the fullest capability of the equipment. The selected candidate must have a valid Texas driver’s license; a minimum of five years of photojournalist experience preferred; a strong background in ENG (Electronic News Gathering) operations a plus; college degree preferred.

KHOU-TV, Belo’s CBS Affiliate in Houston, has an immediate opening for Executive News Director. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, highly competitive, enjoy a reputation for attracting and retaining a high performing staff, experienced with content development for multiplatform use and have experience leading a top 50 market news organization.

GREAT DAY HOUSTON, Producer (Posted 1/11/11)
KHOU TV, a Belo-owned station, is looking for a producer for Great Day Houston. The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for booking, writing and producing daily segments for a talk/entertainment/lifestyle show. A minimum of two years of producing, both live and field, is required and a college degree is highly desirable. This position will require strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects at one time. Experience in shooting, editing, and knowledge of AVID and I-News systems are a plus. In addition, the selected candidate will need to demonstrate creativeness, be flexible, and have the ability to meet tight deadlines.
