NEWS Producer — Full Time Regular

Write, arrange, and coordinate live and taped elements into a compelling, well-paced newscast.  Communicate with field crews, assignment desk, directors, and news room management.  Must exercise sound news judgment.  Requires degree in Journalism or related field and three years “paid” newsroom experience as producer.  Must have proven track record of success.  Need to be computer literate and possess good interpersonal skills.  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for success in this position.

NEWS Coordinating Producer — Full Time Regular

Responsible for writing, arranging, and coordinating live and taped elements into extended news segments including the “booking” of guests/experts.  Must communicate well with field crews, assignment desk, and newsroom mgmt.  Must have ability to exercise good news judgment.  Requires BA in Journalism or related field and three years paid newsroom experience as producer or associate producer.  Must also have experience with booking guests/experts.  Must be computer literate and possess good interpersonal skills.  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for success in this position.

SALES Account Executive — Full Time Regular

Generate revenue from new and existing accounts through effective selling techniques.  Coordinate and maintain all sales related activities for assigned accounts, and prepare and conduct sales presentations for the development of new business.  Responsible for maintaining knowledge of the market’s ratings and programming to effectively interact with the buying community.  Two years previous television sales experience preferred.  Must possess an aggressive, desire to win attitude.  Strong written, organization and presentation skills essential.  College Degree preferred.

SALES Traffic Assistant — Full Time Regular

Responsible for orders data entry, confirmation and verification of contracts, building formats for programs, clearing rejects, pulling show formats, and to serving as back-up to continuity personnel.  Will also log edit one log per week (KTXH), and coordinate with Nat’l sales on Paid Program schedule.  Minimum 2 yrs broadcast traffic experience required.  Must be a team player, highly organized, and extremely detail oriented.  Must be able to work within strict guidelines and time parameters.  Must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to interact with other departments to accomplish Sales and Traffic goals.

CREATIVE SERVICES Director of Creative Services & Programming — Full Time Regular

Responsible for the supervision of day to day activities of Promotion/Programming to include but not limited to: creating promotional material for Sales Dept, coordinating/creating advertiser/station tie-ins with Sales, develop/coordinate viewer related contests, development of promotional strategic plans, multi-media marketing plans, promotional news campaigns and general programming promotion.  Will be responsible for the station’s on-air/off-air promotional sound/look, supervise daily promo log placement, and negotiate/place all non-electronic media.  Will insure film runs are in compliance with contracts, partner with Finance to insure accuracy with film data, and interact/develop relationships with syndicators.  Prepare/maintain annual dept budget for Creative Svc/Programming.  Work closely with GM to determine station’s marketing priorities for promo/programming.  Other duties as assigned by GM.  Requires college degree and/or 5 yrs equivalent experience in Promotion/Creative Svc management capacity.  Must have ability to develop & maintain budgets.  Must have clear understanding of digital/social media and have a proven track record of success in developing ground-breaking, break-through creative.  Must be an effective leader and motivator who is solution oriented and identifies with viewers.  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
