Function:
Perform administrative and research duties for Sr. VP and VP of Programming providing support of a basic or routine nature. Position may also require working in a larger group capacity performing the more routine duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regular and timely attendance. Hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm cst.
- Draft letters, reports, etc., using appropriate formats and proofreads for grammatical, spelling, and typographical errors.
- Distribution of reports.
- Produce copies of letters, reports, etc. and distribute as directed.
- Maintain supervisor’s calendar by scheduling appointments and meetings as directed.
- Receive incoming telephone calls, take messages and respond to routine questions and requests.
- Document all conference calls notes in regards to Music Changes of all formats , Record Reps music priority calls and send out to Corporate to file
- Update monthly Social Networking Template of all Univision Stations and send out to all RPDs and GMs.
- Assist in creating exciting content for stations websites and social networking sites
- Upload programming promos, PSAs, etc., in Ando Media
- Establish and maintain filing system
- Create reports, compile data, and summarize records
- Abide by organizational norms and support organizational goals
- Must be able to perform well under pressure; remaining calm and professional through stressful circumstances.
- Must be able to prioritize projects, meet strict deadlines, and respond quickly to changes.
- Follow instructions effectively, as well as, taking necessary steps to prevent mistakes.
- Perform other tasks as directed by following well-defined procedures.Arrange travel and handle expenses
- Report problems to station Engineers and follow through until completion of project
- Research using Arbitron PPM Analysis or Diary Methodology
- Update Piolin Network Syndication grids and contracts
- Assist Program Director and Sr. VP of Programming with projects in general.
- Coordinate artists’ itineraries for major and minor station events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (contined):
- Attend routine meetings as needed
- Ability to run the studio board
- Serve as back-up to Program Director in the merging of commercial and music logs
- Coordinate meetings via Outlook Calendar and use Go To Meetings and/or Webinars
- Translation of documents
- Meet and visit with record label promoters.
- Ability to make decisions and problem-solve based on company policies
- Provide UIM with content and changes for station sites
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Handle calls from radio listeners; facilitate calls from audience in regarding complaints, questions, requests, etc.
- Team member of the station’s Events Committee
- Update station’s on-air clocks as instructed by Program Director
- Attend station-sponsored events as needed, in order oversee station winners.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:
- Requires excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook software packages.
- Requires good typing skills (60 wpm).
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Spanish and English skills requiredKnowledge of the Hispanic market
- 3-5 years Radio experience required
- GED/High school diploma required
- Basic knowledge of BDS, Music Master and Media Base/Monitor Latino required
- Basic knowledge of Pro Tools, Vox Pro, Audio Vault required
- Basic knowledge of Arbitron Ratings systems PPM and Diary
- Must have excellent people skills, and have an outgoing and positive personality.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must have a valid TX Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record
Necessary Language Skills:
Excellent Spanish and English skills required, must be able to speak, read, and write in both languages.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop,
kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
